On my own behalf, and on behalf of my colleagues among the faculty members and staff of the Department of Computer Science, I extend to you a warm welcome.
The Department of Computer Science is one of the key departments in the College of Science at Northern Border University. It was established concurrently with the founding of the College and contributes, through its vision and academic mission, to advancing education, scientific research, and community service. The Department’s programs are designed in alignment with the standards of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA), which resulted in the program obtaining accreditation from the NCAAA in 2025.
The Department of Computer Science contributes to achieving the comprehensive developmental vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and supporting national strategic objectives by preparing distinguished graduates qualified to participate effectively in the development of the nation. Computer Science is considered one of the most prominent scientific disciplines, with programs offered by the Department at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels.
In the Department of Computer Science, we strive to advance beyond excellence in education, scientific research, and innovation by harnessing computing capabilities to achieve the greatest benefit for society locally and globally. We also seek to contribute effectively to the localization of technology, strengthening the Department’s leading role in preparing future leaders and supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
