Initially, the Mathematics Department was one of the scientific departments at the College of Teachers in Arar, which operated under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education at that time. It began admitting students in the year 1408 Hijri, and then the department was integrated into the College of Science after its establishment on 26/5/1426 Hijri.

The mission of the Mathematics Department revolves around preparing highly qualified personnel in the field of mathematical sciences by providing up-to-date and flexible academic programs and plans, as well as creating an attractive learning environment.
