Praise be to Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the most honorable of prophets and messengers, Muhammad and his family and companions. I welcome our visitors to the website of the Faculty of Science, which represents the Northern Border University's first element, where High Order No. 10363/ AD was established on 22/8/1426 AH, to enjoy the special support from the government of The Late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. The Faculty contains five scientific departments, several units, and support centers; to provide an ideal environment for students aspiring for excellence. It ensures continuous development at the administrative, professional, scientific, and laboratory levels, which entails regular updates and periodic reviews of plans and curricula to keep pace with the future's requirements in line with Vision 2030. The Faculty of science aims to produce highly qualified distinguished alumni following the highest standards and educational methods through outstanding administrative, academic, and technical cadres. The Faculty of Science has taken serious and ambitious steps in scientific research, with increasing published scientific research in local and international publications.

In the academic year 1439-1440 AH, the Faculty began completing the requirements for academic accreditation for Computer Science and Physics Programs as a start, following the requirements of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation NCAAA, inspired by the  University's Strategic Plan, to achieve the best educational outputs to meet the needs of the labor market.

The Faculty plans to open many unique Master's programs in the Northern Regions of the Kingdom. With the help of Allah, Physics Program was launched with its two departments, Solid-State Physics and Bio-Physics, in the Academic Year 1440-1441. The Faculty is in the process of introducing several postgraduate programs in the departments of Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science so that the Faculty will be a source of high qualifications in several scientific disciplines for the people of Northern Borders and neighboring regions.​
