Vice Dean's Message:
The College Vice Deanship for Academic Affairs is pleased to welcome you as a visitor to our page under the auspices of Northern Borders University.
The Vice Deanship draws its general objectives from the vision and mission of the College of Science to achieve excellence in education and scientific research in basic sciences and their applications to serve the community. It also seeks to achieve the goals and policies of the College of Science in providing academic programs in the field of basic sciences and their applications that meet the requirements of the labor market, increase scientific research, enhance community partnership, and obtain academic accreditation in accordance with the National Transformation Program and the Kingdom's Vision 2030, through an attractive learning environment; to achieve the highest standards of academic quality, in light of the programs offered by the scientific departments of the college.
The Vice Deanship of the College undertakes a number of tasks, most notably:
- General supervision of the educational process in the college and follow up the implementation of its policies through the academic programs offered by the college.
- Supervising and coordinating study and exam schedules among the college departments.
- Applying the regulations and executive rules of the university study regulations in the field of student affairs.
- Supervising the academic affairs of students and following them up directly, such as apologies, requests for postponement, transfer, deletion, addition, and related processes, and finding special solutions in accordance with the regulations issued in this regard.
- Directly supervising the conduct of exams and their special committees, in coordination with the scientific departments in the college.
- Providing guidance services and following up the academic progress of students to ensure that they benefit from the academic programs offered.
- Coordinating the efforts between the scientific departments, spreading the spirit of cooperation between them, and seeking to develop the scientific departments' system in accordance with the vision and mission of the college.
- Distributing tasks among the units affiliated with the Vice Deanship, and general supervision of their work in all related fields.
- Coordinating with the scientific departments and affiliated units in the effective participation in achieving the strategic objectives of the college and the university, to reach the desired level of quality, excellence and community service.
