Under the patronage of His Excellency the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, His Excellency the Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Ahmed bin Murshed Al-Hammoud, inaugurated the scientific meeting (Horizons of Smart Research) for graduate students, which dealt with topics ranging from building a research idea and large language models to research methodologies, preparing scientific theses and scientific publishing. His Excellency stressed that artificial intelligence is a supporting tool that should be employed in specific research tasks, without leading the research path or replacing the researcher in thinking, analyzing, and making scientific decisions, stressing the importance of researcher independence and maintaining the originality of research and the quality of its outputs. He also pointed out the importance of scientific publishing and its role in communicating knowledge and enhancing the presence of the researcher and the status of the university, calling on students to target solid and refereed scientific journals.
